[HELP] Installing M2TW+Kingdoms Gold Edition from STEAM for dummies

Hello, I'm new to this forum, I've just signed in to find a solution to my problem: I have already uninstalled twice, cause I can't run the kingdoms expansion.
In order to run M2TW I had to rename the kingdom launcher to launcher, and M2TW was working, but I've never been able to play kingdoms campaigns, no matter what other launcher downloaded from forums I tried.
I checked on launchers' files properties the versions: that was v.1.5 for kingdoms and v.1.3 for M2TW


I've been reading loads of pages about patches, launchers, etc...many of those are from 2010, 2011 etc and I think that for a new user this could be very confusing.
I need to update infos at 2013, with your help.

- I would like to be able to run M2TW+Kingdom+ TATW.

- I have bought Gold edition from steam.

- my pc is just new and drivers are up to date:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
Intel Core i7 3.50Ghz
RAM 16 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST

- I'm downloading now the game from Steam (3rd time)...after I finish with M2TW, I'll start downloading Kingdoms.

- I'm 100% sure, after download is done, that I won't be able to run nor the M2TW nor the kingdoms via steam, so I'll wait for your instructions on what to do after, before I ruin things renaming my launchers, installing wrong patches or wrong launchers.

I'm having trouble as well. I can run M2 vanilla just fine, but if I try Kingdoms or even the retrofit mod, it just says the kingdom.exe could not be found. That link you posted is helpful, but I'm holding back on deleting the launcher and medieval2 application.
