Ah, sorry it didn't work. Actually my last campaign was using Divide Et Impera, so I should have realized that my advice would not be relevant here. Good luck looking for a solution though. I think kv_morale_tables should be the first place to start

If flanking was an insta-rout it would hardly be balanced to the time scale of the battle system. They WILL take higher casualties, and the WILL rout much much sooner than if you attempted to whittle them away from the front.
I think he's just trying to make a cool historical battle video, 'Gunny

I have! They're great, I really enjoy watching re-enactments of battles. I particularly enjoyed some of your phalanx videos

Will we be able to see real late roman tactics like a real, proper Fulcum before the end of this year? it would be cool.

in Divide et Impera there is something like a real fulcum with pilum kept as spear, problem is that there is a big gap between first and second row of shields. Shields in second row should be kept Exactely above Shields in first row and 45 degrees angled not above heads of the guys in second row and parallel to ground.

I think it´s in spanish, but maybe you could find it in english! http://www.academia.edu/456171/El_ej...l_Bajo_Imperio
but i like the actually ones : shield wall, two kinds of testudo ( really historical even in that time )
i see many images and pictures in internet, many of Angus McBride, taht gives an idea of a late roman army in battle. Hope you could do something to improve that! =)
Thanks!
a few basic, but it tells good info too. =) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_Roman_army
the most common and typical late roman tactic was the Fulcum I described. Making a fully working Fulcum would be enough. There were even testudo and shield walls but the basic idea was Fulcum: static formation with Shields overlapping to protect both from cavalry and infantry charges. To create a Shield and spear wall.

Updated
- Updated Germanic units and generals with the new textures and models.
- Updated textures so that battles should have increased performance.
- Tweaked morale values.
- Eagle Cohort is now recruitable by Romans.
(let me know if morale value changes were too much or not)
Hello Dresden !
Why not be the DEI CAI was put into this mod ? Which is very good.
I see the great problem with the passive AI .
Or CAI = scripted files, and was no time for scripting?
thx.
Hello Dresden ! I wanted to tell you and all the team that you've done a pretty impresive job with this mod, especially on the germanic roster.
I also have a question : Can the frankish leader could have a different helmet ? A less celtic one but more frankish one ? I don't know if you can change the model.
Oh, okay Maximus, thanks for the quick answer and for the good work !
Yes Maximus has been doing great work indeed. We will eventually be using his newer unique models for the faction leaders, I just want to be able to implement them all and also change our art to match (faction selection screen, etc).
