Statelessness and Visions.
So much of religion is based on individuals visions, as many of you know i have had visions and even seen/met god – the creator chap - as a few other members here have. But my visions question each other so i could not settle with just a Christian perspective, moreover i don't think we should except these visions as absolute nor should we except other peoples visions as such!
What we have to do is look at what they are not just in terms of meaning, but also for their composite natures. Visions are easily the most powerful influence on one's life, and by far the greatest reality, which is what makes them at once astounding and dangerous.
So lets break them down...
to a degree one persons vision of god will be different to another's, although most people describe a similar thing. The image seen can transform in appearance and meaning before your very eyes, and on another level a Hindu will see and perceive god as different to a Muslim or Christian.
Where does this lead us then? We cannot in all honesty truly say that one is truth and the others are false, as they are all essentially the same thing. Equally so we may take this onto a pagan level and say that different gods and local deities are also the same basic thing construed on a more individualistic and personal level. Perhaps then, all the deities throughout history emanate from the same source [no not 'the force'], and ultimately belong to the same essentially formless entity or even an entityless, beingless, timeless and above all stateless nature.
Now i believe that this 'stateless' nature is the basis, essential essence and crux of reality, but i also concede that i may be entirely wrong!
Q. is reality essentially stateless?
Q. if visions connect us with this nature, are they merely individual experiences of the 'divine', and should we except others interpretations when they are all different? And indeed should we except the visions ourselves! [i.e. Should we believe in them without question, just because they are so powerful]
Q. most importantly; should we worship these entities?!!!! or simply respect and understand them.
Most of the problems in religion appear to emanate from worship! And from holding to a simplistic single perspective of the divine!
[is statelessness divine?]
