I like the idea of the Crusaders needing to recruit from Catholic lands. Would it be possible to simply have "crusading" armies of varied sizes spawn in different sections of Europe under the players control, then it's up to you to bring that army down to the holy lands to join with your forces. You can then choose to travel there by land or sea, both options presenting a risk to lose your troops. This would also allow you to include some of the many many historical crusaders that joined in on the crusades, spawning in a certain land on a set date with a set army that could all be historically accurate. A truly detailed list of officer characters named after real life crusader knights leading the actual armies they started their crusade with would be epic.

I could get armies of a certain type with specific names from specific places, but for this I will need help! I know almost nothing about scripting! I apologize spent my efforts developing
other skills that is why people collaborate (so far no one with any skills have offered me help , just asked me to help on there projects!) well we know how that goes! perhaps someone with the needed skills will like this idea!
but since my mods are limited to my skills! which are extensive but do lack in some key areas ~ so my mods do not have any new units or extensive scripting but do have some of the best ui and graphics, mapping and coding equal to any~
and a "creative" approach which is unique to total war Modding (in my opinion of course) but yes that could n done~ be pretty awesome too! (actually the only aspect of your vision which would not work is actually is them being spawned in Europe and you moving them from there that would involve reducing the map coverage (a lot of wasted space!) or enlarging the map to include Europe ( and this map is already at the max (could include a small sliver of extra land mass in the northwest corner for this purpose so say your playing as Tripoli you would have to move your armies thru Turkey to get them to your territory)

here is what I`ve done with middle eastern buildings ( the crusading factions will use the buildings from my mods on Italy) I feel buildings is a "vital" area of modding (which accents the ambience or "mood" of the mod) which most modders overlook unfortunately
(the seventh image, next to last will be the default image for building description cards)

and I think I will edit the Oasis settlements (which are all villages, that cannot upgrade ) to be the only place mines are located and can be built and create a few other "new" buildings which can only be built in them
and changing Caravan stops to being only buildable in them too! so basically a "new building tree just for Oasis settlements

Oasis settlements are done! all villages and cannot upgrade, small building tree, only location of mines (substantial profits but not extreme)

also included here are the default building description images for regular settlements (towns, large towns, cities, large cities huge ones) and all castles (wooded thru citadel)
so regular settlements, castles and Oasis settlements will have a distinct image

knights ofrt" units from both the "crusades" campaign and "Teutonic"
    as is:

The County of Tripoli (already has the vanilla hre roster) will get knight of Tripoli ad Tripoli squires
The county of Edessa (has Spanish roster already)will get knights of Edessa and Edessan guard
the principality of Antioch will get knights of Antioch and dismounted (already has the French roster)
The Kingdom of Jerusalem (Already has the English Roster) will get Knights of Jerusalem and dismounted
I am unsure what units to port for "The soveirenity of Samarra" (as this a fictionalized faction,Lol) they willget two or three
all crusading factions will get allthe Templar units and hospiteller ones from the "crusades campaign" also O am thinking of adding the Papal states (unplayable and in a secluded Locale, like an island and changing all instances of Pope to Papal Envoy to the holy land,so there an be local crusades) I am possibly going to give the Islamic actions each new unit or two, have to decide, it shouldn`t take that long to port the units and I have about twelve more factions to re-skin, (easy I can skin two or three factions in a day~) some light text editing an new unit cards, but then a be ready, (by summer at the latest~)

just so you know, the map is huge! and there are much more settlements than in vanilla and movement points have been increased but there is still a lot of "space" between settlements so forts will be important! (stone and permanent) and hopefully this will really cause there to be much more "open" land battles

if I can`t bring a unique approach and "style" to a project, why bother! too many mods
out there, which are just "clones" of each other!
