The title says it all. Ever since the game came out, I have edited my save games using the ESF editor to change these values so that I can have larger armies and more men in a unit plus two turns per year. However with patch 3 I started to have CTD to the desktop after ending my turn while the AI was making its moves. I have determined after much testing that this is the cause of my CTDs. With the modded files I can only usually advance 15-20 turns but thus far without any modded files I am beyond turn 50.
Now the is my question, instead of editing the saved games, is there a better way to make these changes to the game? Is there a way that makes the game more stable and less prone to CTD?
If so what is the procedure and what does it involve such as programs, which file to edit, etc.
Is there a mod out there that can accomplish the same thing with more stability? If so please point me in the right direction. Rome has been my favorite franchise since the beginning and CAed up royally and now I cant lay. Any help would be great. Thanks!
