A Thank You to the Modders

Well, this is exactly what it says on the tin.

I have been following you guys from just about the first time the mod was mentioned on this site. It was the first mod I ever downloaded, and the mod that started a love of modding and mods in general. And to this day, after trying nearly every other mod that has ever been made for RTW, this is still my favorite and, in my opinion, one of the highest quality and most enjoyable mods for any game I have ever played.

Just wanted to say that, as I see a lot of people harassing you all about release dates, and not nearly enough people appreciating the marvelous mod you have already given us.

I'm really looking forward to this. Having finished patch 2.6 for RS2 I have had more time to download and look at all the wonderful mods people have worked on for years, and this is one I really love for the storyline involved. If the next released is as good as or better than the previous (which I'm sure it will be), it'll be one of my favorites. Great work.

Just wondering...you said you needed modelers, and I know that's hard to come by these days. What kind of work, or on what, are you looking for? Just so I can keep my eyes and ears open for a 'victim'.

Thanks for the kind words. I think DoM won't disappoint you; it's light-years ahead of TNS.



Our problem is mainly unit models, particularly the Elves. We have complete concepts ready (clothing, armour, weapons, emblems, colour-palettes, etc) along with reference images, as well as some elements complete (Jarlaxe had started working on them, but then real life caught up with him), but we have nobody to translate all that into actual, complete models. There are some more models that need doing, but they are few and can mostly be done by combining elements of other models if necessary.

Strat-map models are easier to do and the number/type of those that we need is under control, but it wouldn't hurt to have a strat-map modeller either, of course.

Welcome to the forums! Keep an eye out for Dominion of Men. If you like Adunabar's Cultic roster, DoM won't disappoint.

Olog-hai are one of my favorite units too.
