    The texture is default, so even if you don't have it in your mod it's going to work. Which would leave only the usual explanation of missing entry in modeldb. This may sound silly, but could there be a second 16 english_huscarls entry? I take it the soldier entry and the upgrade entries in EDU are english_huscarls?

    Did the modeldb checker turn out a log like below or was it empty?

    It is advisable that these two numbers should match.
    Total errors:               0
    String  count errors:       0
    Faction count errors:       0
    Else I would suspect the virtual store. See here from point three onward how to fix that.

    No i have Xp sp3,
    The modeldb checker give me a text file with this two erros but it's normal because he didn't recognize the faction of the submods and before i added the unit it worked well.

    The checker doesn't recognize the formatting of the file, it will be the way the animation sequences are formatted - you will not get a useable text output.
    What was the number in the first line of the modeldb before you started? If you haven't changed the number then the game cannot find the last entry.

    This is the model before your theigns model. That would confirm my numbers theory - most likely the number was one short before you started and should have been 1465 with your model.

    A unit can have several upgrade models - each model counts toward the total of the serialization. Basically one entry is the part from the model name until the long number serial.

    So i'm trying to import 10 troops from BC 2.3.2, to SS6.3 with this submod installed over it - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...az-Unit-Roster

    The problem is, their are 501 units in the SS 6.3 mod's edu when I count for ownership. Their are no instructions in the edu on how to remove units :-/

    500 units + 1 commented out at the start of the file where each line is explained. If there would be 501 units the game would crash I think.

    You just delete the whole entry of a unit. Not necessary to remove stuff related to this unit (model, unit name/description). You could use Gracul's unit editor to import / add units/models so you don't have to do it by hand. But if you only want to copy/paste units from one mod to another it's probably easier than learning to use the tool

    You will also have to remove references to the unit in the EDB, descr_mercenaries, descr_strat and descr_rebel_factions. ModelDB and text\export_units is not necessary.

    Yes just EDU. And places Gigantus said. In your case I think it's easier to just do things manually, as you need to delete a unit then copy paste a new one.

    1. If I want the units allowed for multiple factions, how would I do so? If their are pre-existing units in the mod that I want to be able to use for other factions, how would I do that? I'm trying to make some units available for all Islamic factions, the moors, khwarezmians, fatimids, and seljuks. Some units I wouldn't even have to add, if I could just make some of the units already in the mod, available to other Islamic factions.

    2. Gigantus, could you explain this part of you instructions in a bit more detail - "Do not forget to increase the model count number in the first line of the modelDB by the number of models you add"

You will find those entries by searching for the type entry of your EDU entry, not the coded name entry (dictionary). It basically means that you have to create EDB entries for the factions that are listed in the ownership line of the EDU entry. If you are adding new factions then you will also have to create new entries in the modelDB.

Also, is their any number I need to change, like a "faction number" in the modelDB, edu, or edb for multiple factions? I really want to prevent the "silver surfer" and crashing issues.
