I was hoping for a realease date with the upcoming E3 of June but it seems that they decided to skip it.

Edit: they are going to attend the Gamescom this summer though.

Isn't Gamescom at the end of August?

Apparently in the beginning of their development they had to redo the game code / game engine from scratch, delaying the project by more than 1 year.

Indeed. It is hard to stay excited about the game. I hope the development is going alright and they did not encounter new massive problems.

It looks great. I wonder why there is still no release date. As I understand the devs are about to finish implementing features for early game and still have much work to do for middle and late game. I feel like the director is overtly protective toward the game (first time I ever say something like that for a game).

If I day of old age before this game is released, at least I am sure my yet to be born children will enjoy it.

I remember seeing a twitch clip somewhere, where they said they aimed to get the game out in some form/early access in 2019

At least the game will not follow the fate of M&B likes which all too often are released in early access and never finished.

Watching some gameplay footage, Bannerlord looks in good shape. I expect a release before 2020.

Since Bannerlord development takes that long I decided to play Warband again with just the diplomacy mod.

I am trying to succeed with a company of Sarranid. It is difficult as Sarranids are far from ideal troops to start with. Maybe I should revise my plan for Bannerlord and just take the faction I am most comfortable with instead of the Aserais with a couple of Khuzaits.

I have been playing Warband with so much full conversion during the years. I forgot how great Mount&Blade vanilla can be. It is a simple but very entertaining experience.

The Gamescon 2018 graphics for Bannerlord would have gotten me stoked for this game...back in 2013.

On Steam forums there is a rumours that TalesWolrd is due with the Turkish state to receives extended subsidies until 2023 max. And that the devs intend to squeeze the public fund as much as possible and by consequence not release the game before this date.

I have no idea of this is true but I would not be surprised if it was the case. I am not expecting anything anymore from TalesWolrds. Bannerlord's development have been far too long to end well.

I am not waiting this game anymore. And I fear no matter how good the game might turn out I will ne disappointed anyway because of the insane wait.

I am almost angry about this situation.

Could you link me that article? Sounds quite interesting, albeit a tad conspiratory. And we must never give up hope, myself I'm still waiting. Patiently.

Well, they could have just rushed the game and fixed it later, as that seems to be the standard for the industry now. I hope that they are doing the exact opposite. From what I've seen the game looks very promising. In the Warband clan I'm a member of people are definitely tired of waiting, but excited nonetheless. I'm quite surprised to hear that there is so much negativity surrounding the game on the Steam forums.

Not to mention, isn't it rumored that the game will release somewhere this year?
