    Default Very Good Mod

    hello!
the DIW mod is very good mod, I'm very exctied to find this mod because I always interested in the German history in Renaissance era.

    Some suggestions:
1, I notice that the units now are mostly the original units of M2TW, could you add some Landsknecht units? those are very interesting units in that era.And I have some weapon models of Zweihaenders(or Bidenhaenders), I can send them to you if you need.
2, Could you make the flags and factions symbols more historical? For example, the COA of HRR should be the black double-headed eagle of the Habsburg Kaiser.
2, Could you add the Swabian League as a playable faction to the mod? And change the HRR faction into Archduchy of Austria.

Thanks you for this great mod
    Cheers!

of nothing, I could find some depictions for sure. Though, not all will be directly exploitable. Sometimes you will need to take generic figures and work by an empiric way.

I think for Florence you have now what you need, I will see for french and milan. Both have a great late gothic style with Sun in Splendour and things from that kind.
Even the one you posted in your post above is perfectly correct for Milan.

I,)The swords in the first picture are two-handed swords in late 15th C
II,)The swords in the second picture are zweihanders( black hilt ) and flamberges( brown hilt ) in early 16th C
III,)The swords in the third picture are 'Vortragschwerter' or processional swords in late 16th C

The I) and II) sword use the attachmentsets texture of SS_Final Heater_templar_diff and SS_Final Heater_templar_norm , while the III) sword use the attachmentsets texture of SS_Final Heater_templar_diff2 and SS_Final Heater_templar_norm2

    Download the file here http://pan.baidu.com/s/1cOhJx
(the .rar file only include the .ms3d file of the weapon models , not include the models of the unit body in the pictures.)

Really nice to see someone that is actually doing a mod based on this time period. Greetings from Spain, looking foward to be able to command some early tercios as a wannabe Gran Capitán.

    JMJ -

I add my praise to this post. You guys put a lot of time and effort into this mod. I actually found it (and this forum) by google searching 'Italian mod for medieval II'.

Now I enjoy Medieval II vanilla, but I must admit that I have much more fun with this mod. All the events are awesome. You start doing pretty good, and then BAM, some event happens and you start sweating bullets! Pretty cool.

Yes, the events are great! I have never been a big fan of scripts, but this mod uses them very well from what I've seen. As Spain, I quickly took Tunis from the rebel corsairs. After a few turns I decided it was time to move west against the Ottomans. My army had barely left when a large army of rebels spawned and immediately besieged the place. My garrison was a single unit of under-strength pikemen and 1 unit of spear militia. It was hopeless, but I played out the battle and got to watch my brave pikes fight to the bitter end, and take quite a few of the enemy out with them.

Now, my army is in the field and I have to decide - push on to cleanse the coast of Turkish influence, or turn back and reclaim that pirate's den? Great fun!
