Will the Kara-Khitai make an appearance in 2.4?
In addition, will we have the opportunity to convert to a new religion in 2.4? For example, say we are the kypchaks will we be able to convert to Islam? Or the Khwarezmians to Shiism?

Kara Khitai are pagan, I think. They probably won't be able to convert.
We're not speaking historically, here, in terms of game mechanics, I don't think it'll be possible for them to convert.
In fact when we would add Khara-khitai in the next BC versions (I think I can already say that the map would not be extended in the 2.4 version, so Kara-khitai won't be a faction ), they would be scripted as "heretic" (because Kara-khitais were buddhist but also really tolerant with nestorian-christians, sunni and shia muslims, and other manicheans. A big part of their administrators we christians, manicheans and muslims, and there was religious freedom), but they could then convert to one ore another religion and choose their religious policy.
I am working on someting new about religious conversion, especially for pagans and heretics, and also intra-muslim.

This is great! this would be a game changer,Imagine if you could do this to any faction but something that makes sense,by making sense I mean you can't just make the KoJ to change to Hinduism,lol.....making sense mean like Makuria becoming Sunni or the Kypchaks becoming Eastern Christianity and etc.
Disregard, see below.

Perhaps when the next version comes out you can make the Mongols, the Kypchaks and Khara-khitai unaffected by other religions in a province they own, not sure how to script something like that .... yet. I think this would be historically accurate as well seeing that the above factions weren't in any way nearly motivated religiously, unlike the Muslim, Christian and Hindu factions.
Yes, exactly, that is the plan.making sense mean like Makuria becoming Sunni or the Kypchaks becoming Eastern Christianity and etc.
Will kypchak priests be created in 2.4? If I get a single heretic or witch as a kypchak its almost impossible to restore religious balance.
