    Default Awsome Victory

I accidentally left this little group of guys in the middle of the Roman Empire and the Romans attacked them.

I swept my General around the enemies flank while my infantry were hiding in the woods. I then killed off the Roman Cavalry and did hit and run manuveres until they were weakened up for my infanty.

Pretty good victory, but what units did the Romans have exactly?

Reminds me of one battle I had against Macedon in TE long ago......same basic odds just more men.

No, it was on medium campaign, and hard battles I think.

Hader: They had 2 units of equites, 2-3 precipies, 2 triarii, 2 hastati, and about 2-3 Rorii. I'm pretty sure this is what they had.

Ive used cavalry attacks in the woods many times. If I can walk them up, under cover, you get a hugh effect. Works better in the woods, snow, and dark. Best strategy I have when outnumbered sometines, when my commanding general has night fighting ability.

I had no choice to do this battle, the Romans chased me out of their area (I retreaded once) so I was out of movement points to do anything.

I think he means he that he just auto-resolves expecting to lose.
