Help with Fellowship Campaign Quest (Ithilien Ambush)

Hey guys,

I am having trouble with the Fellowship mission where you have to use Faramir and his guys to take down the Harad army. I even checked this guide for help, but I can't ever seem to get the Mumakil to rout.

I checked some threads before coming here, and most people advise javelins or ballista to take down the Mumakil. I tested this out in custom battle with some Pelagir Marines and I was able to achieve the "run amok" effect. But these units are not available for this mission, and the fire arrows from the rangers don't seem to do anything. I either focus all my fire on the Mumakil and get swarmed by their melee guys, or I shoot the melee guys but get killed by Mumakil Gatling Gun .

Any advise is helpful, or I may just end up ditching this mission. Keep up the good work though, I am enjoying this mod all else considered.

Some people experience bug with that mission, and some don't. For example, I didn't have problems with it, cause, I didn't rush with the missions, and was able to " pump up" my heroes experience and even had two mercenary armies along with them.

There is also a Mumakil death animation bug.. Does your battle crash, or, they are just overpowered?

The battle used to crash, but then I followed what Taiji did in this post and since then it has stopped crashing.

I guess you can say they are overpowered. The Mumakil skin does turn bloody after being shot for a while, but I never seem to be able to get them to "run amok". The guide that I linked to in my previous post had a strategy that involved using fire arrows to rout the Mumakil, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I tried the same tactics and slight variations of it and replayed the mission 6 times, but still no dice. I even got desperate as to charge Frodo and Sam into said Mumakil
