Has anyone heard of Hegemony:Ancient Warfare mod for SS6.4? Looks pretty neat but I can't find much info. Seems to be nothing of it here on TWC.

looks like its a russian mod. very cool find though!
Interesting, thanks for the link. Maybe it's similar to Paeninsula Italica II.
Aren't this mod banned from TWC?
Banned you say? Intriguing, do tell...![]()
Well, if I say RUSSIAN then I told you everything.
Russians have the habit of stealing content of others and claim as their own or doing unauthorized things to the game, they have also have the habit of hacking. They often act like if the world would be theirs. If you ever saw russian players in other games, then you know what I am talking about.
Well, these are my personal observations, but I never found an answer to this question: WHY GODLESS HELL WHY?!?!? I mean, why they behave like this?
Your avatar is very cute.![]()

i was wondering why it wasnt on here lol
It can't be a mod for a mod. It's a mod for M2.
If a mod is banned from a forum it's usually for stealing other people's work or for doing unauthorized things to the engine. Russians are notorious for doing stuff like that.
Does anyone know what music is in the video? YouTube claims the author is Tom Salta.
If you read through the comments, you find this:

I got the game to work and have come to the conclusion he ripped off a ton of modders and just used all their work together in one giant unautherized clump work. I've seen these mods used else where and when I went and checked TWcenter found threaders where folks were demanding he stop using mods they had made or give them proper credit for them.

Yeah, they most likely used other peoples stuff without notice, we had the Bulat/Damask Steel thread some time back might I remind you http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ission-from-SS It actually is somewhat like SS 7.0 that people want so much, the only issue is that installation is ridiculously hard to make out using google translate, and even if you have some knowledge of russian(like me) its still a pain to install it.If a mod is banned from a forum it's usually for stealing other people's work or for doing unauthorized things to the engine. If you have a smartphone install Shazam on it, that will tell you the name.
Well if they were a bit more mannered then their skills couldnt be doubted. But this bad habit is ruining that fact.. Too bad.
Likewise, it's modders hoarding content like Gollum with the ring that creates gaps where the 'ultimate mod' should be. It stifles artistic creation and on top of that it seems a bit egotistical, in the end, it's CA's intellectual property and I bought the game from them.
But, I'm pretty muchafter reading the link you posted earlier Baltic Warrior. In the end, giving props should be enough, imo. I don't see what else they could hope to gain, they can't make money from it. Everyone already wins, it's a hobby for them and I get to play their mods. Perhaps there is something they could gain from hoarding their works and I'm just ignorant to it, in which case my stance might change, but as it stands, I definitely wouldn't lose sleep at night for playing a cherry-picked mod. Sharing is caring.
Is the mod in question completely in Russian or would an English literate person be able to play this without issue?
It's completely in Russian if you are referring to the Damask mod. Though if you play SS enough you'd probably be able to play it without much trouble since you'd know the basics. The mod looks quite delicious. I've seen their preview pics for the "2.0" version of the mod and it looks like they've revamped all of the European factions, aesthetically that is, using a mixture of Magyar, Third Age, and Bellum Crucis unit parts. Doesn't seem like this version is out yet though; couldn't find a download link anywhere for it. Also if it were to come out it looks like the 2.0 version is going to be in an .exe installation format which could make it a little challenging to install.
I have no idea to be honest, I havent looked at it, but im pretty sure it is in russian only. I'll do it tomorrow when I have some time.Is the mod in question completely in Russian or would an English literate person be able to play this without issue?
