Hello, I have written up a small script in python that can apply attrition to a number of soldiers. We could use this as an element to add some fun to wars.

Well, where is it?
#JusticeForCookie #JusticeForCal #JusticeForAkar #JusticeForAthelchan
Also excited to see it, but I hope we're able to do this without installing a programm (though it would be only useful for mods, I guess.)
Well, you need python installed on your computer.
Here is the file: http://www.2shared.com/file/NwW7W0Al...onscript2.html
Double click after you have installed python 2

Hm..this could go well with the supply limit rules proposed back during the restart group for going over the limits.
For those of us without python, could we get a summary of what it does?
For those of us without scripting skills, can we get a translation in Queen's English?
It basically shows you what the number of remaining soldiers is after a certain percentage is subtracted, ya akhi.

It just takes the number at the top and removes 4% from it all the time.
#JusticeForCookie #JusticeForCal #JusticeForAkar #JusticeForAthelchan
Exactly, but 4% of the remaining. I can make it so it asks for different troop types and make it say like HI = 5600 LC = 3400 and all that.
shum
Well just losing 4% at any given moment doesn't sound very intuitive to me =/
Just run the script again then, you can change the value. It is just for convenience, we can write up some rules too. I just wanted to make this actually viable and not too complicated for the mods.

He means the script to be used like the battle calculator, with modifiers and differences added in different situations.
What he really means to bring up is the idea of attrition rules.
Yes, I simply wanted to make it plausible to apply before proposing it.

Seems unnecessarily complicated for something that'd have to be done manually for every marching order.
You just enter three numbers, I'm trying to make it simple enough to use.

Yet it's the kind of thing that's unnecessary unless the entire playerbase is convinced they need it.
