Default How to change the faction voice set ?

Hi I don't know if it's right to ask here.

Could someone tell me how to change the faction's voice set. I'm completely annoyed by the Cathaginian/Eastern voice set. Stuff like "SET SAIL", "YOu ARE SUPREME", I think it's extremely irritating and cannot stand and play those factions. I just want to change it to something else, like the barbarian set. Just wondering how to do that.

    Another couple of minor questions:
where and how do I change the effects of wonders
and if I can view the cause or change the additional titles of characters. e.g. xxxx victor, xxxx the wraithful, xxx the hash , xxx the angry etc.

    thanks in advance

Download XIDX (look in downloads section), unpack sound files, and if you overwrite the eastern sounds with the barbarian ones in the files you extract (just the ones you want, obviously) then this should work.

Umm, why make it the hard and HDD space consuming way? If you just wanna use another cultures sounds, open the text file (on the battlefield it's data\export_descr_unit_sounds_voice.txt) and just add the eastern, carthaginian words before/after for example the greek -word. And then remove the old eastern, carthaginian whole section.

Because I've never done it before, I just stated something I knew would work in theory. Editing text files would definently be a good way to go though.

but its always reoended to go through the tutorial first
even if u want to change a line
but that hange affets the entire section
so its always benefitial if we read the tutorials first so we an get an idea how it really works

u can tell anybody to copy paste this in particular file ,he will do that but will he understand anything
about the function of that file ??

Probably not, but as Publius said, he didn't know another way, as he hasn't researched through the sound files, and frankly, there aren't many of us

I'm sorry if I was too harsh too you, my bad.
