Ok I M totally new to modding!!! I would love Wales to be a new made up faction in Medieval2. I have found a couple of people who have made mod files for Wales to be in the game as a playable faction! I have downloaded one of these and have it on my desktop ready to go. But i have no idea how to imput it into the game or into the SEGA folder on my C drive. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME! I need step by step instructions! PLEASE dont use any technical terms, just straight forward instructions of what to click and where is what I can understand.

I cant find simple instructions anywhere!!!!!!

I don't know the first thing about modding but I did look through your posts.

None of them were made in the M2TW Modders Workshop section of the site. Scanning over it, there seems to be a decent amount of activity there.

I would imagine they would be the guys to ask. Posting questions in the wrong section is not likely to get you what you need.

I am starting to feel that I wont ever be able to implement this mod and my dream of playing the campaign as Wales will never be realised (

At this rate I would need someone to make the total Mod file for me in SEGA/Medieval2 and for me to just download the whole thing and swap it for mine .... lol

I am firstly installing the Ireland Mod as it states that this is adviseable to make the Wales Mod work. I have read the README.txt and have followed the instructions. The only step I cannot understand is Step2 which is stated thus.....
2. place the following files into the data/models_strat/textures folder.

1. place all the textures into the models_strat/textures folder. You wont be asked to
replace any files.
2. Place the following file into the data/ui/captain banners/dead folder.
1.ireland.
3. Place the following file into the data/ui/faction_symbols folder.
1.ireland.


I honestly have no idea of the instructions that this step is trying to give.

Also, some of the instructions is asking me to put files into folders that do NOT exist on my C/program files/saga/medieval2 folders.... i have assumed that I am meant to put any missing folders in myself. Is this correct? Or are the folders not there for another reason (for example different version of the game installed other than patch 1.1 the readme.txt mentions)

If anyone could have a look at all this I would be so thankful! I am massively grateful for any help.

Hold on to your horses. People on this forum do it on their own time and their own dime including Admins. Patience is still a virtue.

You can create those folders BUT to make life easier, do you have the game patched to version1.2?

I have kingdoms installed as well and Medieval2 is updated to version 1.5 i believe! The latest one.

I can see many posts regarding the kingdoms grand campaign mod but I am starting from nothing and all the talk about patch 4.1 or update 4.3 is confusing - any pointers or links of where I should start off?
