Has anyone found the table that governs the probability of a faction to sally forth when engaged in a siege?
Thanks
This looks like it:
minor_settlement_field_battle_percent
I would like to know what role this item plays:
besieged_attrition_force_size_threshold
These are under campaign_variables.
ps: Thanks Dresden. This was in fact my question, Dresden was helping me get it on the board.
If anyone knows anything more on the probabilities for a garrison sallying forth please let me know.
eg: is there a higher chance a garrison will sally forth due to the attacking army being smaller in number? Is that how it works?
minor_settlement_field_battle_percent is defaulted to 50.. I can change this value and test but even still, I would really like anymore knowledge that might be out there. Thanks in advance!
To me it would seem logical if it was somehow related to the skirmish/heavy infantry ratio in the 2 armies. Because sieges are where skirmish and spear units really stand out.
Ya I'm sure it has to do with a ratio. I've increased my value to 75% but in fact, the enemy garrison is still entirely reluctant to come out. I guess it's time to try 85% or more.
I have read that this minor_settlement_field_battle_percent entry does not affect port settlements which would certainly explain why, in my case at least, increasing this value has seemed to do nothing. I'm interested to see what happens once I start moving my campaign inland. Hope this helps.
