Default Financial support for development of Broken Crescent 2.4 and 3

I was just wondering if it would make a great difference for you guys, the mod developers, if people would donate to support the development of BC's feature versions.
I mean I paid 30 euros for Rome 2 and I'm not satisfied by it. I would gladly donate the same amount of money to make BC 2.4 a dream come true.
I think there are a lot of people out there that want to support and reward your great effort by donating any amount of money.
I know that these mods are and supposed to be free but the reality is that people can't work only for passion and with no income.

I think a donation would only make sense if we had any actual expenses linked with development. Otherwise it would have to be big enough to make at least some of us to resign of our jobs or take a vacation or something.

Secondly, we would have a huge problem deciding how to divide a donation. How to price effort of different team members. Then there is a question Is it ethical to accept a donation, even though some members, whose work is included in BC, are no longer active and won't get their share, etc.

It's nice that you care, though. Thanks. I think what you posted is actually more motivating than a donation.

I could have told you that would be the case before you bought it.

Let's not exaggerate... Rome 2 is getting better and better but somehow I still enjoy more BC.

@wudang_clown Thank you for your response... You have a point. It's a complicated matter but you guys really deserve a compensation, a reward for your great effort and motivation for the future. It's wonderful that even after all these years I'm still playing BC and still waiting very eagerly for the next release. Best of luck!
