Mordor marches further into the lands of Gondor taking settlements as they want them, the defeat of Pelargir was not received well however that is simply losing a battle to win the war, Harad will have another chance to fight, Gondor's days are numbered and are going to reach 0 soon.

Chieftain Khuzaymah, while disappointed by the news of Pelargir, would not sink into sadness. Instead, he assaulted and captured Tarnost, then sent his loyal captain Khaldoon to defeat some nearby Gondor forces. Both retreated to Ethring, where they cannot sally out.

The turn is good the unit used to sally was not defeated ; and you can't expect troops not defeated to be paralysed by the presence of defeated troops it's up to the players to think ahead to determine if defeated troops can reinforce to their detriment
