    Default [M2TW] Favourite Scripter




    For the year 2012, there are 3 M2TW modders nominated as favourite scripters. A scripter would be a person who has made scripts related to the campaign map or battle map. Vote for the one you like the most:
    Kolwen


    Kolwen has qualified in this category for doing extensive scripting in the mod called The Sundering: Rise of the Witch King, which was released in 2012. Kolwen scripted all The Sundering Rise of the Witch King campaign.
    Some Background:
    Sundering: RoTWK inclides many new scripts:
    • Allied help: Your allies will ask you for help when their capitals are objective of sacrifices. In addition when your capital is besieged, they will send you troops to defend it. The reinforcer army is composed by units from all over Ulthuan, since is a Phoenix King army.
    • This gives to the player the chance to use some units from other realms. However the price of the help is pretty expensive, so the decision is not so easy.
    • The more allies you have, the more troops you will receive.
    • The reinforcing army is composed by units from all over Ulthuan, since is a Phoenix King army.
    • Alith Anar Spawn: Fight the druchii and conquer their settlements until the shadow warriors show interest in build hideouts in your settlements. Then Alith Anar himself may offer you some kind of alliance. Alith is one of the most powerful characters in this age, so don't lose the chance to use his shadow walkers.
    • Regions Reached: Are you interested in the Warhammer lore? Every time you reach a place of interest a text will spawn with some information about the region and amazing official images from the Ulthuan Kingdoms.
    • Nagarythe & Cultist Allied Forever: Morathi ruled the cult of the pleasure during the sundering, so this two factions will never turn against each other.
    • Factions Riot Controller: We are not boosting a lot the enemy factions by spawning armies everywhere. However for balance purposes it's important to take some measures. When a riot takes place in a cultist settlement, their worshipers will increase their numbers.
    • Historic Event Excommunication: Becoming a pleasure cult worshiper is just an option. Whenever the Phoenix King decides that you must be excommunicated from the Asuryan pyramid, you can chose to become a druchii or try to re-conciliate with the Asur.
    • Religion Conversion after Excommunication: If you chose to declare yourself a pleasure cult worshiper, your religion will automatically change. This also works for AI controlled factions.
    • Diplomacy: We have enhanced the diplomacy and campaign AI and the Asur people will dislike to fight another Asur kingdoms while the Druchii will attack the Asur as soon as they can. You will see allies forming combined armies and fighting together in enemy lands.
    • Purges of Ulthuan/Sacrifices: The Crusades/Jihads have been replaced by Purges and Sacrifices with new and amazing videos. These events often occur and your troops won't disband if you need to stop for a while. Finishing a Purge of Ulthuan will increase a lot your chances to recruit Alith Anar for your kingdom if you are Asur.

    Withwnar has qualified in this category for doing extensive scripting which can be found in his submod collection, which is for Third Age v3.X. It includes:
    1) Bodyguard Switcher: This will let you change the bodyguard unit for characters, in game. e.g. Switch Legolas between mounted (Horse Archers) and dismounted (Sindar Archers).
    2) Dúnedain Counter-Invasions: Unleash the mighty Tôl Acharn oath (the Jihad from M2:TW) as either Gondor or Arnor upon the enemies of the Dúnedain.
    3) Executioner: This submod allows you to kill any character in your own faction, including agents of any type.
    4) Palantiri Revision: This submod provides some enhancements and adjustments to the Palantiri and The Mirror of Galadriel. The aim is to improve usefulness and immersion.
    5) Sail Into The West: This kills your Elven characters by letting them sail to Valinor before they die of old age.
    6) Secret Forest Trails: This submod adds some paths through dense Mirkwood forest which only Elves may travel: both Silvan Elves and High Elves, player only, not AI.
    7) Spawning Additional Units Submod: SAUS consists of four components, which can be read here.
    8) Total Diplomacy: This submod adds five diplomacy-related features, read more about it, here.
    9) Total Effect Points Info: This submod adds two special traits to all player faction's generals that displays his total Squalor penalty (and its impact on Population Growth) and Movement Points bonus.

    Germanicu5 qualifies in the scripter category for continuing to improve his BAI. This BAI has been updated from v5.2 to 5.7 over the course of year 2012 and has introduced quite some changes and improvements.
    Key features & changes of v5.7

    - v5.7 corrected a typo leading to reinforcements crash
    - reworked ReallyBadAI Hardcore, player temporarily loses control over charging units, including impetuous
    - reinforcements tweaks - AI made more aggressive
    - script optimisations
    - new art
    - AI uses hero abilities in Third Age: Total War
    - better AI reinforcements behaviour, supports up to 8 AI armies in a single battle
    - AI not getting stuck during sieges - restored functionality
    - fixed random CTDs that might occur due to hardcoded AI being unable to apply battle strategy- definitely solves 99% of issues
    - better behaviour of elephants, Mumakil, Steam Tanks etc. during sieges

    - improved AI wall defense deployment
    - AI attacks settlements more vigorously
    - brand new version monitoring system for troubleshooting
    - custom battle scripts always launch correctly now
    - fixed CoW issue realted to Custom Folders Fix
    - updated manual mod integration instructions
    - scripting works for multiple custom battles now
    - configurable installer
