For The Sundering I created:
- accents [based on english]
- for High Elves
- for Dark Elves
- for Avelorn (female Elven faction)
This meant sorting out, cutting, change place or adding strategy map voices for agents, diplomacy, captains/armies and generals (normal, chivaleric and dreadful), building of towers/forts and for navies.
And battle map unit selection voices for all 13 factions units (and naturally there is a lot of them, including non-playable slave-faction units; I add not all units are unique to each faction but to a large degree), new warhorn sounds and selected voices unique to certain heroic characters.
Also new fire and impact sounds to certain [artillery] attacks making it sound like the magic it is showed to be.
- added a few battle speeches and sorted the vanilla out from unfitting ones
- sorted out or cut all non-fitting english battle event speeches (used by all 3 accents)
- new end turn-sounds
All in all I lost count when I had worked my way trough about 1000 .wave and .mp3 files/entries in my task to grant The Sundering players an enjoyable experience.
Even if I to be fair did not intended such a work to begin with. When I was asked to lend a hand to this mod I had almost not heard of it, and while I agreed to at least fix some strategy map basics for them, as they was supposed to have another fellow who would take over, it went on to this, as they are nice folks working on a grand mod.
