Also included is a new strategic map of Ulthuan, the homeland of the Elves, including new models for Elven cities, generals, and monuments (such the Shrine of Asuryan). The campaign is an unscripted and epic journey through almost fifty years of the war that shattered the Elves forever, featuring new custom messages to fully immerse the player in the lore and culture of the Elves. Will you lead Nagarythe forward in it's bid to conquer Ulthuan and install Malekith as the new Phoenix King? Or will you lead one of the other nine Elven Kingdoms in their battle to protect their homelands? Or perhaps you will follow neither path and forge a new destiny for your people! The kingdom is yours to command, whether it be rich maritime Eataine or the martial powess of Caledor and its dragons. And while you forge a new empire for your people, you must be wary of the all corrupting influence of the Cults of Pleasure and Excess who would seek to undermine your position, though perhaps the Cults could be used to your own advantage if you play your cards right!
This is the most pivotal moment in Elven History, and one of the most destructive wars that the Warhammer universe has ever witnessed. You are now part of that history! Will you change that history for better or worse? That is for you to decide...

In addition we are not helping the AI by spawning stacks of enemies, so you have to defend your borders and mountain passes. For all this, The Sundering is a hard mod and you will need a lot of skills to win.
1) New Factions: (Their descriptions can be read,
here.)
2) War Council:
- Up to 3 of your generals will now be your main generals. Your Faction Leader, his heir and the Leader of the Council of Nobles (once nominated).
- Each receives a new "Good Logistician" trait.
- They receive full state support and training, improving army health and morale.
- They can resupply faster, carry emergency reserve stores and even organise supplies in unfavourable settlements.
3) Encourages realism and roleplay:
- Total Reworking of some previous Trait Systems.
- No Permanent Traits. Supply Traits continually monitor your actions.
- Supply Traits take more instances to aquire and are reversible through opposite actions.
4) Supply System: Plan your supplies in advance. An enemy region with a vast hinterland could become your toughest target as was so often the case in history. Will you or can you use supply ships? Will your supply train last the distance?
5) Army Field Morale System: This set of traits indicates an army's condition. It runs through a series
of levels increasing every 4 turns that an army is in action (i.e away from any town or a castle
with at least 50% compatible religious population) In essence, your troops become more weary the longer they are away from home. The levels are:
- Ready for Action (default when born, adopted, recuperated etc)
- Troops Weary (4 turns away)
- Troops Despondent (8 turns)
- Troops Undisciplined (12)
- Troops Desperate (16)
- Troops Mutinous (20)
Each level attained initially brings penalties to Command, Troop Morale, then later unrest, Loyalty and Influence too. The traits lists warnings to you to get the troops home to recuperate.
Heroic victories or Major victories and taking an enemy settlement will have 4 times the above effect so fighting and winning against large AI armies will do your men more good (morale wise) than fighting minor easy battles. Keep fighting and winning and you can stay in the field longer without having to recuperate in a settlement.
Major Victories are recorded on monuments erected in your generals honor. One two, three and four victories are announced and recorded as they come. The fifth victory entitles you to a Great Monument, then whilst keeping this monument it counts one to four again, then you get Two Great monuments. Five of these gives a Spectacular Monument and so on. In this way you can easily reckon the total battles and by adding up the kill totals on the three types of monument you get your generals total kills during his lifetime (rough estimate).
6) Famous and infamous heroes: Command the heroes from your favourite novels and army books or fight against them. Famous heroes such Caledor I, Thyriol or Alith Anar and infamous ones such Malekith, Morathi, or Kheranion. We have added more than 50 characters extracted from Warhammer novels and army books and all of them have been customized through special traits and ancillaries.
7) More agressive AI: The campaign AI has been reworked and your enemies will be now far more aggressive. A new challenge for the hardcore players.
8) Get rewards by helping your allies: When the cultist worshipers declare a sacrifice upon an allied capital, your ally may ask you for help. If you reach the settlement with your army then you will be rewarded. You will also be rewarded for every battle won in that region, and they will be very grateful if the sacrifice fails.
9) New Building icons: All the building icons have been customized using official sources.
10) New Ancillaries Icons: Also the ancillaries icons have suffered improvements.
11) A lot of new english voices: Our voice actors and sound coders have been working a lot. On this version you can taste a lot of new voices for the armies, diplomats and other agents. The honourable generals will have chivalrous voices, while the dreadful ones will sound terrifying.
12) New songs added to the soundtrack: The soundtrack of The Sundering was one of the strengths, and someone may think that it was not possible to improve it. However TWmadman has done it. You can notice a lot of new and amazing songs!
