The Inner Keep and the Royal Apartments
Maegor's Holdfast is a massive square fortress inside the heart of the Red Keep behind walls twelve feet thick and a dry moat lined with iron spikes.
It is a castle-within-a-castle. The royal apartments are in Maegor's Holdfast. The king's bedchamber has twin hearths.
Here resides:
Baelor II Targaryen
Age: 33 (born 170 AL)
Traits: +4 Field Battles (+1 of Dragonstone bonus), +2 Duel, +2 Survival, +2 Income, +2 Siege Battle
The eldest son of the former King Daeron, who died in the early phase of Blackfyre rebellion. The Prince inherited the features of his Martell mother, lacking the strong Targaryen features of both Daemon or his brother the harsh and powerful Maekar. He is the sovereign of Dragonstone, as heir apparent to the crown.
Chivalrous, but an able ruler, he was mainly absent from the first battle at Wayland, something that has thrown the Royalist into utter confusion and disorder. And now sees, with unease, the triumph and war-like behavior of his brother Maekar, in whom he recognizes a rival.
In these uncertain and troubled times he'll try to asser his authority as King, and will do whatever is needed to be the sole ruler and authority of the Realm. Baelor increasingly feels the competitive and ambitious nature of his brothers, from the legitimized bastards to the heroic and cold Maekar. Something he will not tolerate.
Westeros will have a sole King, a King with an iron grisp, that will bring the Realm to a new age of prosperity and peace. Even if he has to eliminate his enemies one by one.
Baelor, the Second of his Name, King of the Rhoynar, the Andals and the First Men.
Uncontested, unconquered, undefeatable...
Fire and Blood!
