    Hey all,

We’ve thrown in another colossal ROME II panoramic screenshot, this time featuring the exotic mounted warriors of the Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack. The Scythians, Massagetae and Roxolani with their exclusive focus on cavalry bring a unique gameplay flavour to the table. You can see them in formation-shattering action against the forces of Rome right here:

Will I missed you, though I never got a lock of your hair in my Collector's Edition. I was thoroughly disappointed!

These are screens taken with special settings, way way higher than the standard extreme, only for marketing purpose (i thought this was over...).
If you look closer you 'll see that units are at full lod and res even when far far away (e.g. at full details, without sprites); same for trees and buildings and othe landscape objects.
Even the most powerful CPU GPU combo is not able to achieve something like 5 FPS in this panoramic screens.
But, since this is a screen and not a video, you'll not see the FPS and this is not the problem.

Disclaimer: the post above is way way prealpha, the final version will be way better than this.

It's not the PC you want to see, its the 30000 x 6116 native monitor.

I'm sure the ultra resolution monitor is awesome, but the PC capable of rendering Rome II on it must be even more so.

Look, nobody gives a toss about your panoramic nincompoopery.
Even the Blood and Gore DLC is bugged, with goofy double body animtions for anyone wearing capes.

Stop ninnying about with these photoshopped trinkets and fix the bloody game, you silly gits.

More like their marketing department is a huge mess if it exist at all. Jack Lusted is too scared to post a news here about the next patch but Will, as much unconscious and unconcerned someone might be post one of these stupid screenshot we all know too well is unrepresentative of the game.

As if what is truly needed here is more marketing BS to let us buy a game most people already have and not to talk about the needed patch and support to appease the angry customers.

Actually I think your right the marketing for RTW2 was appallingly bad, it was obvious months before the game was released that CA were hiding the real condition of the game and yet now after the game has been released somebody thinks another panorama the very instrument they used to fool people into buying the game is just what people want, truly amazing.

They released a game without proper testing; they didn't sneak into your room drunk one night and try to have their way with you. Don't be so dramatic, they've admitted faults and promised improvements, nobody is pretending the game's problems don't exist.

Correct me if I am wrong but who is being Dramatic?

Have their way with me! Good God man they would struggle to find my house let alone my butt and even if they did find the right street surely I would hear their ladder trundling towards the neighbours upstairs window.

It would make an interesting Panorama.

Not sure I concur good sir!
It's a PC that can run that resolution(at least 30FPS), that would perhaps cost more than the expensive monitor. Or does it lag badly(and I mean badly)?

Truly epic, and I think we can all agree that this is indeed what we want from our pitched battles in Rome II. However we are not getting anything of the kind.

    This looks really good, Will.

I hope Patch 7 irons out the performance and allows me to be able to watch all of this kick off without having to keep any eye on how many guys I have on screen at one time because of the lag. I have faith.

    Thanks for this picture, Will.

btw, I'd hate to fight that much cavalry! Cavalry are by far the hardest units to predict and trap!
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:
