    I would think it's a kind of projectile particle emitting thing, but I haven't delved into the details. Be aware that could be like the 'permanent arrows' - too many projectiles and you are talking about serious lag.

    Yes, it is particle emitting thing. Difference with arrows is that every missile launch give you about 100 new arrow models. And with my idea unit will be single and number of particles will be constant and not so big.

    I added flies to head projectile, but have no idea how to merge it with unit model.

    The projectile should have an 'impact' sequence\section, maybe check if you can ad the effect there? Maybe even go the 'area_effects' route?
