    Default CTD after install

    G'day,

Had heard quite a few good things about your mod, and was looking for somewhat of a challenge from a mod that still kept the 3 Roman factions in the game, as the civil war is a very enjoyable feature to me.

However, since I've installed 8.1 I've gotten a CTD whenever I try to load RTW.exe or BI.exe. BI talks about a mount error of some sort, while RTW.exe says "Unable to find skeleton fs_sl_semi_fast_archer". I've uninstalled the game, deleted the files from the RTW folder from previous mods, even checked regedit to ensure all traces of RTW were gone. Reinstalling yields the same errors.

If someone could give me a bit of advice on how to fix the issue, I'd be much obliged.

Have you used the installer (as instructions say) to install or manually installed to empty folders and copied on top?

I think you have just forgotten to install DM 8.0 before 8.1.

I believe you installed DM_8.0 to a different folder and the 8.1 to the correct.

When you open installation package of DM_8.0 it gives a random folder to install which has nothing to do with your custom installation of RTW-BI.
You MUST manually browse and change it to target the correct installation of your game .
In the installer of 8.1 I corrected this and I remind you with a text....

So pls uninstall everything and I feel you will manage it....

Check also if you have installed DM_8.0 in your system somewhere it says "programs" not "program files"

Hello, my name is Martini_, and I am an idiot. It was in the "programs" directory, like you said it was.

I blame you. Always the developers fault, never the consumer.

    Always.

(Thanks for the help. Look forward to enjoying the mod.)
