Well I don't have any real knowledge of Medieval troops other than those in the previous Medieval Total War and some documentries shown on TV so dont tear me up if I make a fool of myself. Also having problems deciding so I will just fling in a few.

Longbowman - In Medieval Total war and the EB mod for RTW ( Indian Longbowmen ) I love Longbowmen, I love watching arrows being shot through the air into the enemy and longbowmen seem to better their rivals.

Any Sword / Shield combo melee troop, preferably with metal armour. Just the heroic thought of taking out the sword, raising the shield and having to charge head on into possible doom, seems like a real movie moment. Thankfully if in real life I might just **** myself and leg it *cheer*

Anybody under the command of Richard the Lionheart or Saladin. Both iconic figures in my eyes.

i would be a longbowman too. but then in india the nobles were mostly preferd archery(unlike in europe) .but being a warrior/noble (ksatrya) i would have my own swift horse to flee if any enemy charges me.lol

i always like the "i shot one kill" policy of the snipers than the poor footmen/cavalry and their dicing with death during melee combat :tooth:

I would propably be a Hashassin, the orignal Assasin's from which the word is derived from, they used to take a little bit of Hashish (a drug) before going out on a mission and they only used Dagger's as weapons.

But after serious consideration id be just happy to be the king of england!
