Another Bug? Attacking missile units on ships...
Has anyone besides me the same problem? I have run into situations where missile units on ships became unkillable. Hereīs the scenario:
A missile unit is on a ship and is being attacked by units on the shore. The shore units fire on the center of the swimming missile unit, killing about 1/2 to 2/3. After all soldiers in the center of the ship are gone, the units on shore continue to fire at the center. The ship-borne missile unit does not reform (as it would on land). As no soldier is at the center, the units on dry ground can not kill anyone anymore.
Yesterday, I defended as Iceni. Three slingers on ships attacked, I had six slingers. My slingers were able to kill about 2/3 of each attacking unit. After that, volley after volley failed to do any damage. As stated above, I think this is because units will always attack the center of the enemy unit, and units on ships do not close ranks (i.e. reform).
If the attacking units use fire, they can eventually destroy the boat, thereby killing the swimming unit as well. For slingers, this is obviously not an option.
For me, this is another proof that the Warscape engine needs to go sonner than later. The "always attack the center" ideology leads to unit blobbing, the inability to run down fleeing units with cavalry etc. Itīs just not a good idea.

Yes, I noticed this the other day, I also took a screenshot of it:

Notice all of the javelins that have pierced the ship in the middle at the bottom of the screen, making a big cluster, but there aren't any other impacts around it.
