Default the ingame city Roma smaller than Carthage?

Well... why does Carthage have 6 build slots while Roma only has 5?

Rome was the biggest city in the ancient period. Do I have to upgrade my main building or research some other tech in order to gain the sixth building slot in Roma?

    Best regards!

no rome only gets 5 slots because carthage has a port and therefore have an extra slot. don't ask why there really is no reason why rome does not have a port. i guess in rome 2's universe Ostia does not exist.

Carthago is a port city and has a port building. It still only has 5 building slots.
Roma does not have a port in-game because, as you can see, the city is not physically located on the shore. While it historically had a port, so did practically every single city that was anywhere near water. Settlements only have a port in Rome 2 if the city itself is physically located on the shore.

it has 6 including the port. say it for what it is don't try to blur the subject, you'll confuse the young lad.

Rome only has 5 because it does not have a port.
