    Icon3 {DIK} Download - Version 3.3.1

    Hey there

    I'd like to introduce you my mod "The Italian Wars" the mod is set the 15th and 16th century and the name already reveal that it will take place in Italy.
    The campaign starts in 1493 and ends in 1559 (4 turns per year).
    Originally, this mod was brought to live by Vlad Tepes from Strategie Zone(german forum), but he was not able to continue this beautiful mod, so I got the permission to continue. I'm already known in some german forums also for my mod In Nomine Dei.Well, I'm sorry, but the whole mod is in german..
    maybe one day I'll take the time to translate it or someone else
    Now it is translated

    All factions are playable:



    • Kingdom of France (blue)
    • Holy Roman Empire (black)
    • Swiss Confederation (wine red)
    • Kingdom of Hungary (orange)
    • Duchy of Milan (green)
    • Signoria of Florence (white)
    • Papal States (gold)
    • Kingdom of Naples (light yellow)
    • Kingdom of Spain (yellow)
    • Republic of Venice (red)
    • Ottoman Empire (light green)


    The Map:




    Features:
    • Mercenariesscript
    • many many events
    • also events where you can decide, what will happen with your realm
    • Independet citystates and lordship script (for cities like Mantua, Modena, Lucca...)
    • special buildings or units are available in these provinces
    • New Units
    • completly overworked KI recruitingsystem
    • city construction stage (every city only can be build up to a specific level, for example: Venice (metropolis) and the city of Forli only to small town)
    • etc.

    How to install:
    1. Install and download all versions to 3.3.1
    2. Download the translation (follow the link, then press crtl+s, to download)
    3. Extract the files from this .rar file in your SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods directory and overwrite every file.
    4. Start the mod

    Sorry, for that post, but I had to update the link for the patch 3.2 there was a file path wrong.

    For those, who have already downloaded the exe of patch 3.2 please download this here and overwrite it

    I'm using as modding platform for my new units, a great mod basically.
    I ignored it was You Neadal who made that mod. stunning work man!

    Btw, the hell! you added Naples and Florence!!!!!!???????

    You didn't know that? Haha
    Yes, Florence is taken from Reconquista, but Naples was made by myself (ok the units are from Orient und Okzident, a german mod)
    Check out the mercenaries script we can use it for Pugna Italica

    Oh so nice. Die italienischen Kriege waren mein Lieblingsmod für MTW 2. Warum kann Vlad net mehr weiter machen? Aber danke das du es tust!

    Ever since I played the Battle of Pavia last year I wanted a mod that showed the Italian wars, now one arrives. Downloading now.

    After a good half hour of custom battles I have this to say.
    I like the way battles go and the skins and models are very high quality.
    It's not in English though, so I'll just make do and probably learn German painfully slowly while doing it.

    After 10 minutes of game I pretty much like the relief of this mod, new cities, factions, scripts and events texts sadly I can't understand.
    Do you plan to bring Genoa, as vassal state of France, Neadal?

    I took a screen from what I noticed of great:
    Venice is now an island, very important for the gameplay
    Rebels attack cities(awesome)
    the florentine reskin for heaters

    Well, I'm not sure, because there were to many faction in the north of Italy..
    For the next version 4.0 I think about to add the facton "Swabian Confederation" very import in the german religion wars

    hmm.. I think I need to translate at least the events, I have some spare time next week, just give me some time

    Forward for this add.
    But its sad though about Genoa, at least could you make their rebel unic with their A.O.R mercenaries(crossbowmen) as main troops?
    You know just create a new kind of rebel sub-faction(Compagna Communis Ianuensis is the right name en latin, or just call it Ianua)

    Neadal, ask Broken Crescent team for janissary and some cavalry units for Ottoman Empire. Perhaps, they will not reject

    I'm already started to work for the new version 4.0.
    One new feature will be, that you are able to build up the grand duchy of Tuscany, if you have conquered the asked regions with Florence

    So here is the faction icon:



    From time to time I will post here the recent work and the progress to 4.0.
