Excellent, I am sure it will be a good feature. I can't say much more due to my lack of own modding skills
Yeah this will need some balancingI just thought I'd mention some features for Genova since it is going to be a new faction, and Venice is rather similar to it in some respects. Back then for Tsardoms TW I suggested to give them stronger ships, a trade building (like the Hanse's Handelskontor would be. In 1400 there were 12 of such representative buildings for different European powers in Alexandria, one for France, one for England, one for Venice, one for Aragon and so on. After the ongoing mercantile rivalry, in 1500 only six were left. Of these, FIVE belonged to Venice and the last one was representing Genoa
Even more striking, the Venetian ambassador was the only person apart from the Mamluk ruler who was allowed to ride on an elephant on the streets of Alexandria
So, when it comes to business and trade, don't mess with the Venetians...) and to somehow represent this peculiar form of government. In Venice the Serenissima was only open to a limited number of 2000 families, which is still a lot of people, but the important thing is that the members of the elite who governed the city remained virtually unchanged throughout half a millenium (from the 13th to the 18th century). I have to stress again, however, that I am not sure if this was similar in Genova.
