Glad you like it!
Yes, some people mentioned that point as well. I think we will make some adjustments for 4.1![]()
Any advice in regards to income? I conquered a settlement and disbanded some cavalry and ship units and made several trade agreements but I'm barely making any income since it keeps fluctuating between 96 and 197 florins and I barely got out of the red any tips to improve my economic situation?
Whelp my Venice campaign ended, the ottomans and holy roman empire blitzed me. So iI started a Hungary campaign and I like it
, one question, will pavise spearmen have pavise shields in the future? Just curious.

Now add an Janissary Heavy Infantry that has not a long smock with Sword & Shield and Axt and Shield but with their Heavy HelmetsExample : Make them armoured Suits like the Plates on their Head and give 100 of them Sword and the others Axt´s and you will have an really smashing Shock Infantry

We made good progress with the bug fixing. I can say that we are quite done with it![]()
Now we move on to the balancing of the units. If you have any ideas, suggestions or opinions to our current version, please let me know, so that we can discuss them.
Also a huge thank's to Iskar's hard work. He found a lot of issues and spend a lot of time testing version 4.0 before and even after our release.
Very appriciated!

So a faction does not become destroyed until you conquer all of their cities AND destroy all of their field armies? I also tried assassinating all of their generals/family, but that didn't work either. I tried that with Spain to no avail. I tried taking all of the Papal States cities, but their field armies are still around.
This is not a complaint, just an observation. I rather like it to be honest. Cool stuff.

Well not everyone
Only papacy and the Swiss. This is a feature added by Vlad Tepes. We planned to remove it, but we don't know what he did exactly and at the moment is to busy for helping us with modding.
Haha
So if you actually like it, maybe we shouldn't remove it![]()

Personally, I think it's a little more realistic. Just because their cities are all taken doesn't mean the faction is gone. Especially what I did to the Papal States: after taking all their cities, they still had 3 full armies and about 3 half armies. Would have been plenty of troops to retake some cities (or move around my armies and take mine).
I believe TW: Attila does the same now with the new system. The barbarians don't need cities, they just wander around. (Not 100% on this, although I have Attila, I haven't played it. I'm too into MII and this mod).

I noticed something with Venice that I wanted to put here because it's not really a bug, just the AI being smart. Venice will place two stacks of units on the field outside of Venice, so that I can't land units there to attack the city. Any ideas?
Also, does the AI not have to pay upkeep like the player? The AI has several stacks of units with only a few cities. How far in debt can one go? What are the consequences of it; ie, will units disband, generals become disloyal?

Mike
We have already noticed it as well.
I wouldn't call it smart, the AI is just to stupid to ferry their troops from the island to the mainland..
But that issue will be fixed in the upcoming patch![]()
Thank's to Deatheye's idea for his mod Choceur.
Ah almost missed your other question!
Yes, the AI factions are excepted from the field cost script. Also the get every turn a bonus, in case they have less than three cities (or something like that)![]()
Interesting question... maybe one could write a script, in case you have to many debts, that you lose the campaign...
Well.. maybe we could add that as script in the future version.
Thank's for your suggestion!
Cheers Neadal
Woooo I just checked the forum and saw all the new factions! It looks wonderful, are the factions showcased in the previews already available in a new download? I guess not, but take your time anyway
I've been busy with my master thesis in history so I kinda forgot about this mod, but then reloaded my Hungarian campaign on the weekend and thought I would have another look, only to find out you have added loads of new units, buildings, events and factions in the mean time, well done, +Rep to everyone from the team I can find

"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

So playing as Milan, I was fighting with Naples and the Papal States, and I had a surplus of 60,000 florins when at the beginning of one of my turns I get a notification that I must pay up on my debts of 50,000!! Wow! My last game as Florence I had to pay up twice for 10,000, but 50,000!
I had to change up my tactics (I was relying heavily on mercenaries), but it threw a wrench in my war machine.
It's an annoyance, but a really neat addition to the game. You just never know what's going to happen in these campaigns; just when you think you have the upper hand.
An enjoyable experience.

That is just what we intended. Because the problem with the most mods is, when you own to much money, the game gets boring. So we added this feature to surprise the player and make the game more challenging![]()
Also our intention was to make every single campaign an unique experience![]()
Hi Neadal one question i would like to translate only file historic_events in italian, this can' cause crash?
