Swords of the Sea: 1066 has come and gone, the Danelaw torn down and a new kingdom built in the image of its Norman rulers. But with time, wounds heal and what is broken can be reforged. The Danes have returned with steel, and seek to reclaim what is theirs.
The Great Expedition: Pax Anglia, one of Earth's great empires, sprawling across the stars. On their newly colonised planet of Nova Sydney, adventure awaits on the savage frontier - Henry Boyce steps forward to lead an expedition to pierce the Bushlands' wild heart.
Winter War: Finland, 1939. The Soviet war machine has begun its indomitable advance from the east. Of all its neighbours, only Finland stands alone in defiance. Conscript Anton Bezrukov prepares for a quick victory, but the reality is far bloodier...

It seems I forgot to check the box for multiple votes (please bear with me as this is my first time managing one of these). Looks like there is going to be a tie breaker for 2nd place. I have the poll started and I'll have the new MCWC submission thread up soon.

I think that's what the tie break will decide. In any case, it might be best if everyone was to PM SK their second vote? Or we could reset the vote entirely and run it for another week?

If not, then I'm really happy with where The Great Expedition had come and I'll be updating it shortly.

The tie-braker is for 2nd . Maybe another tie-braker. Though the last tiebraker for the MAARC only attracted 2 votes

Yes but the story that loses the tie breaker would come 3rd by default.

What Great Retreat said is correct. The tiebreaker decides second and by default the other story comes in third. However, if their is an overwhelming desire to redo the vote I could since it was a mistake on my part.

I get it now. Sorry for my stupidity. Let the the battle for 2nd begin!

I'm getting the sense that the battle for second place is going to be one-sided. Over the months, I've noticed a trend that a fair amount of readers here prefer sci-fi/fantasy, seeing that many of the works that fit into those genres are commented on more frequently, compared to authors whose works fall into different categories.
