And so the infinite whack-a-mole continues.
And so the infinite whack-a-mole continues.
It is not infinite; when one party die off completely the game would be over.
It is highly possible certain party in certain Pakistani department wants that dude die for whatever reason; I thought we all learn that lesson well enough from the Osama bin Laden hunting event.
maybe some sort of hat disguise for the next one?
Its getting old because the age old cycle of war,"peace" talks, drone strikes and diplomatic breakdowns is.... old. Confronted by what ? Did I deny people get killed ? I did not see you condemning the "peace" process when mosques and churches and markets get bombed, but you are one of the first to critiscise the Americans when a Taliban gets killed, assuming he actually did get killed.
Whatever the case, Muharram is coming, codeword for Shia bombing season.
Another one for team America.
And you know this how?Whatever the case, Muharram is coming, codeword for Shia bombing season.
@Darth Lazy
No I was sincerely interested in clarification why you think its getting old. I can see where your coming from, but sadly this frustrated actionsim and belief in a foreign power acting in behalf of your interests isnt a realistic solution to any of the problems you listed. I could argue that it only increased and created many of those problems as it did in a long list of countries.

And Pakistan should not. However contributing to the false-popularity and historic-lobotomy that guides each "new" conflict is aiding this evil. Least we should do is being a critical citizen and speak out as long as we are still allowed to.
The real change will have to come within the US itself. But as long as its Murica Yea, nother Taliban dead, this is great etc and have some range of weak rational talking-points for apologetic purposes there wont be any change. They will continue, and they will feel good about it.
I'm not going to feel abd about an dead Taliban. Nor are the many Afghans and Pakistanis who have suffered under them. this shouldn't be an Murica yeah moment, it should be a moment for all to celebrate since the Taliban is nothing but a group of extremists who target civilians who disagree with their views like Malala Yousafzai. I'm sorry but actions speak for themselves and the Taliban has showed what kind of group it really is.
Empowered? The Taliban received no support from America, but they did receive help from an American ally. Pakistan. The Taliban's rise was directly helped by Pakistan.
Now if you want to argue about the actions of the US during the Soviet-Afghan War and how it helped lay the foundations for the Taliban then i would agree with you. However the Taliban has not actually received any support from the US.
If the Pakistani Taliban had a sense of humour and political savvy, they'd name a woman as the successor.
Eats, shoots, and leaves.
They should name an old man in a wheelchair who often helps out at orphanages. That would be politically savvy. That would definately buy some grassroots support when the inevitable milllion dollar american missile comes.
Ofcourse it hurts pace of peace talks.
Kill one well know enemy and get instead few young hawks on his place.
Pakistan losing his old contacts with enough authority to talk for Taliban or enough authority to force Taliban commanders to peace isn't helping either.
Not mentions that it gives to guys who want fight reasons to do so. Its like fighting fire with fuel until evrything burn to ground.
But hey another bites to dust. Great victory of democracy. Yay.
"Its a GUNDAM!"
"Nope. This is Polish Winged Cavalry."
Take billions in aid, swallow a few drone strikes. Smile and wipe off your chin.
