    Icon5 Abilities And Unlimited Arrow and Javelins

    Hi all sorry for another request i forgot to ask it in the first post.

    Is there a table a could modify that can make archers and javelins and slingers and other missile siege weapons and soldiers have unlimited Ammo. Iv'e been trying to figure it out myself but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
    i tried making the ammo on the "Unit land tables" 99999. but i didnt work they had the normal amount of ammo. i know its unrealistic but it would be awesome.
    And how do i add special abilities to units that dont have many abilities. like adding testudo. and shield wall and others. im not sure what table to edit to do that.

    About the ammo, no idea if the ammo in land units didn't work.

    About the special abilities (quite similar to the fatigue thing) you have to create a new attribute group (these are the kinds of troops, such as heavy infantry, very heavy infantry, heavy spear, etc) for the units you wish such abilities, then in the unit attribute to group junctions or something like this, you have to add one entry for each skill you wish to give the unit - pretty much like the fatigue thing I explained in the other post - AND THEN in land units db you change the attribute group to the one you created.

    As soon as you get the hang of things in the dbs, their logic is quite simple and things get easier and faster.

    Sorry, I think I just confused everything.

    Abilities you can simply add in the land_units_to_unit_abilities_junctions, add one entry with the unit and the skill you wish for every skill.

    Cakewalk, really.

    Ive been working on trying to make archers and other missile infantry have more Ammo. but it seems that the Ammo must be hard coded in the game. Ive tried trainers for the game to have infinite ammo but that doesn't work. It would of been good if RTW 2 had a preference file like RTW so that you could modify that and have unlimited ammo. People in other forums think that i should use Cheat engine to have unlimited ammo. but i don't know how to use it. im still trying though im not going to give up.

    in campaign_difficulty_handicap_effects you can add a new entry as the following (disregard text in brackets)
    campaigndifficulty_handicap: -2 (for very hard, -1 for hard, 0 for normal, 1 for easy campaign difficulty)
    Human: tick the box
    Effect: rom_force_unit_mod_ammunition
    effectscope: this_province_faction_all_forces
    effectvalue: 900 (would result in 10x base ammo so slingers would have 250 by default, it's the % of the original you want to add to the base amount so 400 would be +4x ammo for a total of 5x the original)

    You can add a second line for the AI on the corresponding difficulty (3 for leg, 2 for vh, 1 for h, 0 for norm, -1 for ez)

    Also in technology_effects_junction sort the table by value and the largest values will all be 50, these cover the technologies which increase ammo by 50% and also 50% while defending sieges. Changing these figures will also have the desired effect for player & AI alike once they research the technology in your campaign.

    the name of the effect in technology_effects_junction for the ammunition tech is rom_tech_military_management_ammunition_mod and the base value is 50.

I know its a lot. but i'll love it. because I play Custom battles all the time. and I don't play the Campaign. Thanks Cohort96

    Sorry, only for campaign.

    Not sure about custom battles.
