Default Unable to (re) install Rome Total War

After installing too many mods, and realizing I wanted XC, not DM, I uninstalled Rome: Total War.

Upon inserting my disk to reinstall, I found that I couldn't install - The option was grayed out. My only options are Play, Links, View Readme and quit.

    Obviously I'm quite frustrated.

So I went in and delete the registry keys from Rome, all of the files associated with it, in program files, my documents, virtualdrive, etc.

And I still can't install. No error messages, nothing. There's no option to.
EDIT: The version I'm attempting to install is Rome: Total war God edition

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Unfortunately, following those steps to the T, it still won't allow me to install.

Download CCleaner, and run it to clear Registry leftovers ( Image examples ).

I've run it through CCleaner several times.

    Still doesn't work.

Any recent Windows Security updates made? Tried with your AntiVirus Program turned off?

Turned off windows firewall, I don't run anti-virus, I've run CCleaner several times, and manually deleted any Rome Total War related file. It might be a problem with my disk, although I doubt it.

64bit Windows? If so, regedit and search for rome, barbarian, gold, creative, etc. It/they could be buried in syswow 6432. Medieval2 has some entries in there on mine.

Oh god.. Now I feel like a dumbass.

I navigated myself into my D: drive... And ran the installer from there.

Simple fix for a painful problem, lol.

Thanks for your help, Irish and Elven,
