Be ALWAYS careful in the land_units and main_units dbs, there might be a column which says "land unit" and you have to paste the name of your unit.
Also, NO SPACES, double-check for anything you might have typed with spaces; as a rule of thumb, WhaT iS CaPitALIZEd MATTERS, careful with all your typings in all keys.
Check in land_units or main_units for a "this_here_unit_Tooltip", you might need to change that and add the description_short_texts db or something like this.
Lastly, careful with the names of the dbs themselves on the left bar of PFM, you might rename all, but some files tend to retain their original names, so manually rename them if necessary.
If nothing helps. You can try and upload it for us to take a look.
I checked everything and I think I didn't make any mistake, here is the link http://www.mediafire.com/?v99ens1dto7v5b1
PS First their name was Gre_Periokoi_Cav then I changed it to Gre_Periokoi_ Cavalry, but none of them worked..
PS 2 this is a mod I'm working on![]()

you should tick the box next to the name in your land_units.loc table
Sorry, I'm just getting confused, too tired and my cat won't stop screaming here.
I believe the unit index might be wrong, being the same as the "original", so the game gets confused, 3223 is a really low number, it must be from the game. Try changing it, and take off the spaces between the Periokoy_" "Cavalry.
It must not have spaces in the names, nowhere, actually, only in the descriptive texts of the .loc files.
I really don't understand why it is happening. Are you SURE the building index keys and the unit unique index are truly unique? to be sure you can always try a "876543" number that is not likely being used by any mods.
Also try deleting any other units that are not your own.
Let me understand, you tried to create a new unit using an already existing mod? Or are those all from the original data_rome2?
Try to keep your pack "clean" without unnecessary stuff from other packs, unless those are units you modded into your faction.
What was the original problem, the unit showed in the custom battle but had no name or it didn't even show?
I'm too tired too...
Tomorrow I'm gonna check what can I do to fix it![]()
Yea, sorry if I couldn't help much.
Should it still not work, begin a new pack with stuff extracted from data_rome2.pack and delete what is unnecessary. It is tiresome, I know, I had to do it tens of times until I got it right, but then you'll have a nice "clean" mod that you can use to create more stuff that works, with less work. Also, I suggest you extract the dbs you're gonna use to a different folder (preferably somewhere accessible like the desktop) and save and modify the .packs there so you don't mess too much with the original folder or PFM's folder.
Also, DO NOT FORGET TO BACKUP when you get it to work.
Just some brotips.![]()
