Altering what units spawn in civil war?
I've tried editing the civil war faction for Rome under the factions table, but the game still spawns copies of my best armies for the senate loyalists. Is there any way to change this? To prevent the game from having multiples of a modded unit I put in for rome?

Re: Altering what units spawn in civil war?
Hm well I'm able to prevent a civil war it seems by changing the rom_rome under faction_civil_war_setups table to another faction. However, this also removes the ability to perform political intrigue and it seems to have stopped senators being gained by my generals. There's got to be a way to not remove a civil war, but alter what units they spawn with. Surely!

Wait I might have figured it out a bit. Is it true your generals can belong to other houses? If that's the case, it would explain why when the civil war started, most of my generals had to be replaced. It would also explain why the armies they field are replicas of your own armies (it might actually be one of your generals armies!?)
wonder if there's a way to stop generals being assigned to different houses...

Ok I'd say the above is definitely how the mechanic works, and the amount of armies spawned is determined by the amount of your generals in the other two houses. The next question is if there is any way to increase the amount of spots available in a house, so as to avoid half your generals joining the other two houses

Try in Faction Tables > Factions.
It looks like there's some stuff in there relating to civil wars... still can't work out how to stop the bloody things from occurring when I've only just taken Sicily.....
GREAT WORK AGAIN CA!!! w00000p
Of course worry about dodgy looking blood effects is far more important than adding missing features and fixing severely broken ones... Bunch of crooks

Also to change what I said previously, the amount of armies is spawned is just the max armies you can have. Has absolutely nothing to do with the generals. What an absolutely ridiculous mechanic

I can stop a civil war, but it seems like there is some script or something somewhere that dictates where the loyalists get their units from. There isn't anything that changes that in the faction table unfortunately

ah, thats a shame, would be great to be able to make civil wars more meaningful - eg. fighting against that awesome army you spent 100 years levelling up

Is it doeable by using civil war script or sth similar to simulate Hannibal Italy invasion or Spartacus uprising? What i mean it could be fun if some fat stacks of other cultures sometimes invade Roma.
Pehaps using region ownership method form RRR we can do some historical events edning with massive enemy stack gringing.

Id rather just alter it so that they don't just copy (it seems) one of your stacks. THAT's what seems unrealistic to me. Atleast have some variation of their stacks, instead of 20 complete stacks with the same units in every single slot
