third age total war cant start campaign or custom battle plz help

it worked before i downloaded MOS what should i do if i go to campaign it just goes back to menu if i go to custom it goes out of the game. what do i do. [also Im new here]

1. Are you trying to start a MOS campaign, or, Third Age campaign?

2. What Windows do you have?

3. Is your M2TW Steam or non steam version?

4. Have you installed all four TATW Parts ( 3.0 Part 1 and part 2, 3.1 Patch, 3.2 Patch ) ?

Have you run Cleaner. bat file located in your M2TW/ mods/ Folder where MOS is installed?

Also, to check what Windows Edition you have, right mouse click on Computer icon ( or, on My Computer icon ), and, go to Properties. Tell us is it Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 Edition.

it start working again just cant play battles do everything else just cant play custom or battles

Go to your PC's Time and Date ( Clock Settings) - Time Zone - Change Time Zone - and uncheck Automatically adjust daylight saving setting. Apply and OK. Restart your PC and check the battles again.

i did it does not work only a tiny bit it showed the battle ground then went out so we r getting close

Before installing TATW and MOS, did you disable UAC, or, at least edited security of your main M2TW Folder?

Hello! I need help..

I have installed the newest mod correctly (for Steam, that I use, but when I launch Medieval 2 Kingdoms: Total War from Steam, i first get an error message, like this (much of it is in norwegian): [IMG]file:///C:/Users/Forbergje/Pictures/a%20viktig%202.jpg[/IMG]
I choose to ignore it and continue, and the Medieval 2:Total War Launcher pops up. There I am being told that I got no Net Connection: [IMG]file:///C:/Users/Forbergje/Pictures/a%20viktig%201.png[/IMG]
Strange, since I DO have net connection... I choose play, and choose Third Age (fixed with the Launcher Mod List Editor). Then the game starts, but I only come to a Menu that looks pretty similar to the usual Medieval 2 game menu... I try to start a campaign, but are given the message that I have to "choose an item from the list"... I do not have a clue on what to do now... Ideas??

The other campaigns work are fine when i choose them, just NOT Third Age..

I have followed your steps. But since it is on Steam, and since I have located Steam on D:, not C:, there isn't anything on programfiles(x86). Anyway, i have uninstalled all TATW, and deleted all Third Age stuff from the "mods"folder (in Steam, stemapps etc...). I know tries to reinstall, as in the final step, into "mods" in Steam. I install it right into the "Third_Age"folder that I have created, alongside the four other campaigns. Is this correct?
Since I have installed this through Steam, it is at bit different from your stepthrough... And I am, nicely said, pretty far from good or experienced in this, first time

Go here ( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...pictures-!-%29) it is a thread with pictures for proper installation, and these steps you need to do which are explained there in that thread:

1. Edit security for your main M2TW folder ( steam/ .../ Medieval II Total War)

2. Remove/ delete currently failed Third Age folder/ files from your steam/../ M2TW / mods folder. After that, verify steam game cache as explained in one of the steps.

3. Make a NEW FOLDER somewhere, just not in your STEAM/ M2TW folder. Install all four TATW Parts into this NEW FOLDER.

4. After you are done, open this NEW FOLDER, there should be two folders: data and mods folder. copy paste data and mods folder into your main ..steam/.../ Medieval II Total War folder ( overwrite everything when asked / MERGE ALL FOLDERS WHEN ASKED, and Copy and Replace option for the FILES when asked ).

5. Rename one of your Kingdoms folders to something els ( teutonic to teutonic_original), and rename Third_Age_3 folder to teutonic.

6. Disable daylight savings for battle crashes, go to your Clock ( Time and Date) >Time Zone> Change Time Zone> uncheck " Automatically adjust daylight saving setting". Apply and OK.

7. Go to your Steam M2TW Launcher, and, start teutonic campaign. It should start a TATW game.
