Seems like they're in the data.pack file, in ui/units. PNG files that you can edit in Photoshop or something similar. Assign them in the unit_variants table.

Thanks Gavitron. Would Gimp work as an editor?

Okay, creating, or at least editing existing unit icons in TWR2, seems to be really easy - far easier than in RTW. The one thing i can't figure out is how to create the masks that go with my new icons. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Just use the vanilla ones. Since you're editing existing icons, it won't be hard to find the ones matching your unit card, and you can find them in the same .pack as the cards themselves.

Thanks Falkren. Yeah, I figured that might be the best thing.

Just mix and match them until you find the best result, this method haven't failed me with my unit cards

By the way, it was the icon that you created for your Greek Choppers that first gave me the idea of mixing and matching the existing unit cards to create a whole new one. Thanks for that.

I've mixed and match a few existing unit cards in gimp, but I can't actually find how to get them into my mod. I can't find the path and how to link it up. Are there any tutorials on this?

Put the .png files in the icon and mask folders on your hard disk using the same folder structure as the data pack... then add the directory into your mod using PFM. Don't forget to reference the new icon in your unit table row in PFM.
