Byzantine Books
there was a thread a while back which gave books of numerous topics of ancient history (possibly modern too), and i was looking at buying one of the byzantine ones that was there but i lost the thread and cant find it :'(
anyone know any good books on the history of the byzantine empire?

Byzantium: The Early Centuries by John Julius Norwich (from the foundation to 976)

Byzantium: The Apogee by John Julius Norwich (976 to right before Manzikert)

Byzantium: The Decline and Fall by John Julius Norwich (Manzikert to the Fall)

John Julius Norwich is, in my opinion, the master of Byzantine history. I've read all of them, and loved all of them. Everything which I have learned about Byzantine history I have learned from these books. And I LOVE Byzantium because of Norwich.
All together, they number more than.....1500 pages, so if you want a more concise history, check out A Short History of Byzantium by Norwich.
