Default Has the world gone crazy(Check this map out!)

Romans have really started to expand(alittle more than usual for my games) Macedonians expanding as usual, surprisingly the thractians are still alive and bactrians are doing pretty well themselves.

im playing armenians at the moment. Selucids are giving me a hard time in the south.

When ive dealt with Selucids i will need to kill off Bactrians/Carthage before i can have all my focus on pontus/sarmatians and then the rest of the west.

What`s your point with this? * We already have a thread for posting pics with our empires.

EDIT: *I mean: is there something that bothers you with the expansion rate or....?

Good question. Maybe he's surprised about owning Khybor. (look at where his mouse is)

Right, I didn`t noticed that. I think it was something about that reported, when a city in that region rebels and it becomes......... armenian? But I`m not sure IIRC.

Yes, I think the settlement to the north also revolts to Armenia (it did in the Armenian RTR PE game that I am playing).

If you don't want to keep it it's probably best to 'gift' it back to someone. I tried to give it to an ally of the Seleucids in an attempt to get them to start a war, no luck though.

It`s happened with me too! I played with greeks, and i get a scandinavian province, [Hyperboria/Themiskyra]with greek garrison inside far far away! This province had a greek temple... Few turns later the settlement was besieged and lost.
But... suprise... it revolted and i got it back... and lost, and got back...
    After all destroy temple.
    Strange story.

Maybe it is a reason why gauls get GALATIA [they are only in Pannonia in my campaign] or the the Sarmateans take Euboea [near Athens] but maybe this is a naval invasion... it`s strange but i like it...

In the descr_strat.txt file, each region has a "faction creator" listed for it. Whatever faction is listed is the faction that a region goes to when it rebels. For the region of Hyperboria (its city is Themiskyra), the "faction creator" is listed as "greek_cities", so the Greek Cities faction gets the region when it rebels. For Galatia, the default culture listed is "greek_cities", so the Greek Cities faction should get control of the rebelling region of Galatia. If the Gauls are getting Galatia, I'm not sure why, unless you are playing RTRPE with an add-on mod for it, which has a changed descr_strat.txt file. It may be due to the descr_regions.txt file showing the region's "default culture" to be the "gauls". This has already been mentioned for something else, a possible reason for some CTD's during the Rebel (slave) AI turn. Its something I will be looking into.

It does, however, make a certain amount of sense for Galatia to go over to the Gauls as the Gauls, currently, are a faction containing a large number of the Gallic tribes and Galatia, during this period, was inhabited by Gauls.

I mean, it seems really silly none-the-less, but makes a certain amount of ... Crazy-Sense! (Or Insano-Logic, your pick).

But Themiskyra is between Germania and Sarmatheans. Why the greeks get the city? The history books write about greek citystates in this region?

Maybe we should open a thread about weird things in Rome Total War. :tooth:

Marcus, wasn't the faction_allegiance of a settlement in the file descr_regions? And I also thought that the faction_creator in descr_strat only gave the "look" of the settlement (roman, greek, etc.). NOw I am confused :hmmm:
