Just to know..

Hey guys got a day off work so i thought i would pay a visit, i actually heard about the new total war game a few months back, now the game is close to release i'm a bit more curious about it, I have a few questions you guys will probably be able to shed some light on:

What are minimum specs?
Is there a fixed european release date?
In what ways is the campaign map more dynamic than rome?
Are there any new civilisations from the first medieval total war?

And there a few others i'll probably remember later..i've seen a few screenshots but i don't really know that much else so guys need to give me the full 911!

What are minimum specs?

Don't know yet, though Ca have said around a 1.8ghz CPU and 128mb GPU, so you'll probably 512mb ram as well.

Is there a fixed european release date?

Not that i know of, but a date of around the 14th November is looking likely.

In what ways is the campaign map more dynamic than rome?

New agents such as priests, bishops, inquisitors(only available to the papacy), princesses and merchants(you can put one of a rescource to monopolise trade of that rescoures generating more income). Papal elections(if one of your priests gets into the College of Cardinals, they could be elected Pope, which would give you more influence in the Papacy), the Council of Nobles(like Senate missions in RTW, but not as necessary for you to obey). Crusades, Jihads, appearance of the Golden Horde. The New World is in the campaign so you can go conquer that near the end of the game.

Are there any new civilisations from the first medieval total war?

Yes. The following MTW factions are not in M2TW: Aragon, Italian States, Switzerland. New factions in M2TW: Aztecs, Milan, Venice, Scotland, Timurids, Portgual.

Thanks mate, also I would like to know whether there will be a multiplayer campaign mode..this is one of the things back in the day we used to discuss a lot, I would hope it would be included in this years game?

perhaps in a expansion.

Nope not in the expansion. CA said that it may be inculded in the next game, not expansion

thats it??? are these the requirments to experience the fill m2tw with all high settings or medium?

Those are the minimum requirements.

Those are Mini-mini-requirements. I would have trouble playing Rome on high with that.
I guess to play Medieval 2 on high settings you could easily need twice as good hardware as that.
But for the "normal" computer player, I guess, we can expect rome requirements +40 %.

No, its not being included. There wil however be multiplayer battle tournaments, or something like that i remember Ca saying.

Yeah, thats my guess at min requirments. To play it on high i would say a 3ghz CPU, 256mb GPu, 1gb ram.

thats the spec of the computer i will be useing, so medium will probaly best for me

What I dont like about specs is when they are far too vague. A 256mb 3d card? That would mislead people into buying the 256mb versions of the 6600 and the X1600, both of which would struggle immensely with MTW2 on high. You can even buy a 512mb version of the X1600, its a shame the the GPU on it isnt powerful enough to even make use of 256mb. Specs on the back of the box should list exactly what the minimum ATI adn nVidia card is to play the game, not by how much memoery they have.
