    Icon5 Renaming Cities?

For some reason lots of the cities in my game have had their names changed. Roma is now 'Rome', Qart Hadasht is now 'Mastia', Athenai is now 'Athens' and so on.

It must be one of the mods I'm using.

Anyway, how can I change the name of a city?

open PFM, choose Mymod -> New.

Name it however you like and now pick Local_en.pack

    Now search for text/db/regions.loc

Find the city names you wish to change, modify them and save your pack file.

Now launch R2TW and enable your mod with the mod manager.

It works for me, i renamed Athenai to Athens.

It's Pack File Manager. You can find it in the 'tools' section

I can't seem to rename any cities. I have renamed factions and it works, but none of my new city names show up in game.

For those interested, you have to change the name in start_pos_settlements.loc in the local_en pack.

Excellent, are the current names self explanatory? I do not suppose it is possible to change names during a campaign- like in RTW I ?

If you change those names they should change in your game, new or current.

Really annoyed somehow lost my renamed local language city mod, now I cannot even remember how I did it
I had every Pontic Pergamon, Greek, Seleukid, Ptolemaic etc city renamed how they named them...now it has gone

I think the phrase ryhmes with 'clucking bell'
