NOIF's Faction emblems - Mod (Augustus's Roman emblem Pack 1 released 23.9.2014 in STEAM)

After my first made emblem for Seleucid. I m decided go for Rome emblem, because I did not liked fat pidgeon emblem on rome so
I came for this. Wolf is one of rome symbols and I think Scipii emblem (from RTW) was really good to present it. This is already tested and it working well in main menu, campaign and battlefield.

Both my emblems can get on non-steam mods and steam workshop mod

INSTALLATION:
Download and add this mod to your data folder. In laucher, open mod manager and activate it on there. You have your emblem in your game now!

This mod working with all other mods. No have conflicts with any mod.
If you see any problems or issues in my mod, report for me.

How would you go about changing the Name of a faction, i'd like to change Rome to SPQR? Subscribed through steam workshop btw !

Nice,but instead of wolf. eagle should be look better in my opinion.

If anything the the wolf and SPQR part of the banner should be more prominent.

It seems like some people are not aware that the wolf was central to Roman iconography long before the eagle became associated with Rome. In the origin myth of the city state of Rome, the she-wolf plays the central role by keeping the infant romelus and remus alive after they had been condemned to death in the wilderness. The wolf was also a sacred animal associated with Mars, the god of war. The origin myth of Rome happens to claim that Mars was the father of romelus and remus.
The eagle became the prominent symbol of rome in the late republic, under Gaius Marius, who claimed his right to 7 consulships after witnessing an omen; an eagle guarding 7 eggs. As part of the Marian reforms, Marius removed the legionary standards with the wolf, the minotaur, the horse et cetera - in favour of the now iconic eagle standard, and so it remained under the Empire.

So, the wolf is perfect for symbolizing the Roman Republic, and the eagle is perfect for symbolizing the Roman Empire. This mod is very much ideal for those of us who chose to uphold the republic after civil war.

Back from a cottage holiday.

I have seen all feedback here and in steam during weekend. I can see that there was eagle supporters as well. So I made also eagle version on this Monday. I got idea that would make different roman emblems, what players can decide which emblem he like to use. Later I will also make couple version for Carthage, Sparta and other factions.

Rome emblem #2 and #3 released. You can find screenshots and download links in contest box. Have a good conquer time under new roman emblem! Harrr....

You can download all emblems and put all emblem mods to your data, but remember you can activate only 1 of 3 in mod manager.

I am working on Tutorial - How to make faction emblem (Photoshop cs5 with Noif) thread. If lucky, I can release tonight or Tuesday.

simple, you download one or all(if you want try them), throw them to data and activate one emblem in mod manager in game launcher. No all 3 together.
