Changing date in a campain

I've tried the Year and a number thing in the console. is there a way to change the year? I get bored playing with the earlier units all the time.

turn off real recruitment (its in the submod section)

Also, I think a few people are working on a later-starting-year mod. Not sure if its for SS though.

Check the sub-mod section.

Also, if your playing from year 1100, play the late campaign starting in 1220... get the later troops 120 turns faster.
