NP. Thing is Im trying to add a new minor settlement. Im starting to think its just not possible.

For the sake of my mod I have a copper superchain in already and working in my test version. However this was done with trickery using predetermined building superchain currently unused by anything in game ATM. Adding a superchain continually crashes the game. Even if I tie it to the right slot, chain, instance etc. Ive started over from scratch table by table. Always turns out the same way.

Hello I have a question about custom buildings using the PFM. I made another level 4 building for the Main Military Barracks chain for Sparta. So from a level 3 barrack you can choose to make the vanilla level 4 building or my level 4 building.

The problem is that for some reason I can only make one of these buildings. All the aspects of the building works its just that I cannot make more then one. Can anyone point me in the direction of what to do to fix this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

Followed the instructions very carefully, still no luck Trying to make a new chain (and buildings) "rom_ROMAN_military_buff_minor". It followes the same rules a the major military buff chain but it can be build in minor cities. Can anyone maybe take a look at this please?

So I just tried something I completely wasn't expecting to work.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Superchains aren't the only things that can have branches, individual chains can also have branched upgrade paths.

    EDIT

Looks like something odd is going on with the new server, the tables aren't showing up in the tutorial (should be a 3x2 under this...)

    EDIT

Fixed, although it leaves masses of blank space now...

Updated Building_sets and Building_flavour_texts.loc after finally locating their use. Still unable to make a new primary structure, really getting annoying now

Yes I'm pulling my hair out. Who am I kidding I shave my head already... but ya. Driving me crazy.

I wonder if there is some kind of trick that could be used making a normal chain and tieing it to a minor settlement so it takes the main building slot only....

Hi crzyrndm, I desperately need your help. I would like to give the Etruscans the full Roman building chain in order to expand their unit rosters, while they already do have the buildings, they seem to be "downgraded" and thus can only recruit Italian Spearmen. So what I need to do is giving them the full roman buildings, I can imagine that this should be done in building_faction_variants, but I cant open the table. Do you have a trick to open and edit it? Thank you

It really feels like there's just a single reference missing, but I've trawled the data packs numerous times now and haven't been able to spot anything relevant. Infuriating is just not enough to describe it anymore (If only CA would just drop DaVE and its dependencies on us...)

Do you know where the references for battle map models are set?

If it's just recruitment thats the problem, you need "buildings_units_allowed" (see above) and "units_to_groupings_military_permissions" (sets what factions can recruit a unit).

Make sure you have enabled it in the mod manager, and that you're checking a Roman major port chain (2nd level or above will show it). If it still doesn't work, then it may be a patching issue I have to check out.

I'm wondering... Is it possible to create a building that would have other buildings on it?

Sorta Like this (the OP is sorta messed up, highlight it to read it all): http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...-and-Provinces

My reasoning behind this is that despite there not being much interest in it, it is something that I'd be interested in trying to do myself.

Buildings and slots are completely different I'm afraid, so no such luck.

Thanks, but it would be significantly better if I could complete it... (chain/superchain creation)

Not really, got sidetracked working on Artillery/Replenishment, playing around with fame_tables and what not. One can only hit their head against a brick wall for so long before getting distracted.

If you got it working then I'll have another run at it, would be nice to get this completed
