Default Port and Siege Battle with Nomads?

How about port battle with Nomads?

If your army are coming from sea, you wont be able to land horses, right?

Nomads army is composed of cavalry.....

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    In siege battle...

You will have to dismount your cavalry to push forward the siege towers and ladders if you dont have artillery....
Also command them to attack those who are on walls to capture and open the gate for cavalry waiting outside...

    but the problem here..

There are only 80 men in cavalry units compared to mellee infantry which is 160 men per unit... From the start, you are at disadvantage.... The defender only has to deploy his mellee infantry which consists of 160 men on walls and wait for your outnumbered infantry(dismounted horsemen) which is 80 men....

Don't attack a port with them?

The purpose of attacking a port is to siege a city in short time.

Meaning you can directly siege a city avoiding enemies that lurking in land.

For example, there is an army between you and the city and you want to avoid that army, you will attack them via sea... Sometimes, its useful to attack by sea to avoid unnecessary battles...

    Just a scenario...

You could also just disembark them next to the city and attack via land, instead of via sea and losing their horses.

My experience with all cavalry army (Parthia) before is to wait out siege if it's walled settlement. With settlement that have ports if you also blockade from the sea they will last more shorter.

Wait out sieges (siege techs will reduce attrition), don't use transport ships (steppe factions did not like the sea). Nonetheless those few low level infantry/foot troops should be in the (custom) game in my opinion.

This is CA's approach to fixing the torching gates: don't give Nomadic factions infantry units.

Really, that is how they have always approached problems: get around them in the most stupidest manner. Poor AI? Put in flag points! Can't coordinate fleets with armies? Just give them instant free transports!

You are wrong. Steppe faction don't walk for hundred of miles. They ride their horses.

Use your young axemen instead! They're not bad as basic infantry go.
