6.4 patch Windows 8 problems

Hi, so I got a new computer not too long ago (Windows 8 with i7) and this is the first mod that I have had trouble getting to work. 6.3 downloaded with no problems and once I installed the 6.4 patch I first got an error in the SS Setup that says: Error while trying to create a temporary file. Operation aborted. Then when I try to start up the game it shows the splash screen for a second or two and then crashes. I turned my UAC off (I heard that doesn't really work on Windows 8 though). Anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Ok just to make sure I'm understanding, I should install it in anydifferent folder besides program files (x86)?

error creating temp file, is cause you didn't use 'run as administrator' via the right click menu. But yes, you'll save alot of headaches later if you install outside program files (both of 'em).

Thank guys it worked! Everything is working fine aside from a couple really weird glitches like all the water turning into desert for a few seconds and a crash here and there but hey better than nothing. +rep to both of you!
