Default Failed to start game (app already running)

So I just got done downloading patch #2 (1.5 beta). I've played for about 20 mins (love the beta patch, btw), exited to windows, and tried playing again.. then I got this message:

    [IMG][/IMG]

I mean, it's not a big deal because I can play the game again if I restart my computer, but I was just wondering if any of you guys have experienced this problem as well. I didn't have this problem prior to patch #2. Is there any way I can fix this without having to restart my comp?

    Thanks.

go to task manager and close down any rome 2 launcher/application you find ... then just restart rome 2 from steam and it will work

Look at the second page, should be called processes or something.
Look for it there, but be careful about what you close.

Sometime it happened for me and I went to task manager, find rome 2 total war launcher > delete/close it and then you can start your game again. Not hard.

The fix for this problem is going to the compatibility tab for the Rome2.exe and unchecking run as administrator.

It's bugged, no other games in my steam have ever done this. Only way to close it (if it does not appear in your processes) is to log out of windows. I would say that Rome 2 does this about 5%- 10% of the time.
Shogun 2, no thanks I will stick with Kingdoms SS.
